Benjamin Kraft

General Research Assistant

Ben is from Salina, KS, and is a student at the University of Kansas, where he is majoring in microbiology. Ben is returning to The Land Institute after working as a Research Assistant for the past two summers. Ben was drawn to working at The Land Institute for the summer so that he could continue to see and participate in the practical side of research. He also enjoys the community aspect of working with like-minded scientists.

What’s most inspiring about your specific position at The Land Institute?

Getting to see how research is done up close and personal

What drew you to work at The Land Institute?

I heard about The Land Institute through the community and wanted a job that was fulfilling and allowed me to work outside.

If you were to write a book, what would it be about?

I would write a book about the power of a positive mindset.
