Chris is a skilled facilitator, practitioner of transdisciplinary and participatory research, and collaborator on community-led social change efforts. His academic training spans the social sciences, including human geography and economics. It includes a master’s degree in development studies, with deep international and regional experience, and has supported research and community-led development efforts in eight countries. He most recently worked at the US EPA Region 7 Heartland Environmental Justice Center, where he supported Tribal Nations and grassroots organizations in Kansas, Nebraska, Iowa, and Missouri in designing and implementing environmental justice projects. Chris grew up in Emporia and currently lives in Lawrence with his wife and their two dogs, Brooks and Rosie.
