Chris Reimer grew up in the Flint Hills region of Kansas. He left to study sustainable economics in Kansas City and later pursued international development and human geography graduate training in the United Kingdom and Canada. He has more than a decade of hands-on global experience in climate and environmental justice as a researcher and practitioner, with expertise in participatory and community-led approaches. At The Land Institute, Chris explores how the organization can hold and practice ethical relationships with people and the natural world to build an inclusive movement and steward a just perennial grain transition.
My most perennial trait: Absurdity – or at least my wife tells me so! I take my work very seriously, but I also enjoy being silly.
