Raised on an extended family farm that worked closely with Michigan State University, Hyacinth Diehl inherited a family commitment to research and community service. Their professional work has been far from the land, but nurtured a deep belief in sustainable, scalable, proportional systems built in loving community, not just as ideals, but as practical, concrete strategy. As Treasurer of The Land Institute Board of Directors, Hyacinth works to ensure that the Land Institute’s resources are managed and allocated to sustain our mission and our people.
My most perennial trait is Younger Sibling Energy—I’m playful and irrepressible.
