Q&A
What’s most inspiring about your specific position at TLI?
I am most inspired that I get to support the people behind the work and foster growth that impacts the world in such a positive and thought-provoking way.
What would people never guess that you do as part of your role at TLI?
I think the “Human” in Human Resources can get lost with all of the processes involved in my field of work. In HR, I get to wear a lot of different hats and that keeps me challenged and interested. I see people at their best, sometimes their worst, and I am here for all of it. I am truly driven and inspired to support the incredibly talented and passionate people performing this vital work.
What drew you to work at TLI?
I was drawn to TLI because of the values and high regard they hold for the people performing the critical work and the trailblazing organizational goals. I wanted to be part of an organization moving forward while helping people and our planet from a global mindset.
What’s one aspect of your life history that most people don’t know or wouldn’t expect?
I am a survivor of a nearly fatal boating accident and have great appreciation for the invaluable perspective this gives on life!
What else are you passionate about (outside of work)?!
I love spending time with my family and friends, gardening (both flowers and vegetables), and being at the lake! Being on the water and digging in the dirt are my happy places. When planting season rolls around each year, I have to practice serious self-restraint in any given garden center/plant nursery or I will want to buy ALL the plants.
What’s your motto / favorite quote?
The greater your storm, the brighter your rainbow.
