Intermediate wheatgrass as a dual use crop for grain and grazing

Laura Kemp was raised on a small farm in southeast Kansas, running atop Secesh silt loam. She first learned about The Land Institute in a trail shelter far from Kansas, while thru-hiking the Appalachian Trail. In her role on the field station of the Perennial Agriculture Project, a joint initiative of the Malone Family Land Preservation Foundation and The Land Institute, Laura enjoys hosting collaborative gatherings, tending to research field plantings, and, above all, stewarding wild spaces.
My most perennial trait: Escaping Inside Life – If I’m not outside every day, something isn’t going as planned.
