Marie Brockhoff
General Research Assistant
Marie grew up on a small cattle farm in Linwood, Kansas and is a rising junior at William College in Massachusetts majoring in biology with a minor in environmental studies. Her family ran a baked goods stand at a farmers market for several years, which got her interested in local food systems. In college, Marie is a biology lab teaching assistant working in a lab that studies how plants fend off herbivores by making compounds like methyl anthranilate (which is the thing that makes grape Kool-Aid smell like grape!).
