Natalia Gonzalez was born in Ventura, California, where the strawberry and vegetable fields along the freeway mark the passage of time. She still lives in Southern California, where she works in invasive insect management. Natalia was introduced to The Land Institute through its feature in the 2016 short film Unbroken Ground. The idea of regenerative agriculture inspired her to pursue a degree in plant science at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. When it came time to apply for a summer internship, The Land Institute was the first place she thought of because it had inspired her to pursue agriculture in the first place. Natalia was a summer intern and helped with harvesting perennial wheat and other data collection on various ongoing experiments.
My most perennial trait is Hard Work – I don’t mind doing hard work- teamwork and podcasts make anything possible.
