Growing up in Salina, Kansas, led Reece Mathews to spend a lot of time outdoors, which evolved into a passion for environmental and climate sciences. Reece learned about the Land Institute naturally, through a childhood spent in Salina and an interest in nature. Interning at the Land Institute in the summer of 2017 while in high school provided Reece with a wonderful kickstart to a career thus far spent happily playing supporting roles in climate science.
My most perennial trait is Creativity – There is no greater pleasure than learning skills to make something new and uniquely personal.
