The UC Davis Brewing Lab is hosting a brew day centered around Kernza® perennial grain for those interested in using alternative and sustainable grains in the brewing industry to advance regenerative practices. The Brewing Lab will host two separate events at the UC Davis Pilot Brewery, where participants will get to brew with and taste Kernza, providing California brewers with the opportunity to explore the perennial grains hands-on.
The Kernza Brew Day will take place on September 30th from 10 am – 4 pm Pacific Time (limited to 12 brewers), and the beer tasting day will follow the next month on October 21st from 10 am – 2 pm Pacific Time (limited to 20 brewers). Both events include guided sessions with experts in the field and guest speakers, plus a complimentary lunch.
