The scope of this event will cover plant breeding and wild land initiatives to mitigate drought in a changing climate.
Dr. Crews will discuss how the structure and function of native grasslands can provide useful models for improving–up to a point– on the resilience of agriculture in the face of drought.
The goal of this one-day research symposium is to assemble scientists, students, and industry professionals to discuss the latest research surrounding drought tolerance in agricultural and natural ecosystems. This event is part of the DuPont Pioneer Sciences Symposia Series, which provides an opportunity for the next generation of scientists to connect with public and private industry professionals in a student-organized symposium.
