From June 11-13, an interdisciplinary group of about 30 researchers, teachers, artists, and activists will gather in Salina, Kansas for a workshop on Ecosphere Studies. Events will be held at Kansas Wesleyan University and The Land Institute. Building upon two previous conferences, this summer’s workshop will include discussions of the key realities of “process” and “emergence” as well as continued work on models and tools for teaching Ecosphere Studies. Invited participants include John Cobb, Robert Mesle, and Robert Ulanowicz.

Ecosphere Studies applies the “nature as measure” paradigm to the problems of culture and education that grow from extractive industrial agriculture. The Ecosphere is recognized as the creative, living globe that is our home. For more information, visit our Ecosphere Studies page.
