The 1898 Smoky Valley Roller Mills is put into operation once a year for the annual Millfest hosted by the Lindsborg Old Mill and Swedish Heritage Museum complex located at 120 Mill Street in Lindsborg, Kansas. During Millfest, guides and millers walk visitors through the mill with all the machinery in motion. The event will hold tours of the mill, food trucks, games, art activities, and more.

Lydia Nicholson, Educational Design Technician at The Land Institute, will participate in the event to discuss the role of perennial grains in the future of agriculture with guests.

Tours run from 9 am to 4:45 pm and cost $10 per person during the event, but all other museum attractions will be available by donation. Click here to learn more about all of the activities taking place at this year’s annual Millfest.
