Since the Neolithic Revolution, annual crops (cereals, legumes, and oilseeds) have dominated the world food system, covering 70% of global croplands. In this virtual lunch talk hosted by The Royal Swedish Agricultural Academy, Rachel Stroer, President of The Land Institute, will present the Institute’s vision for a perennial future. Lennart Olsson of Lund University will then give an overview of research collaboration between research groups in Sweden and Denmark and The Land Institute.
