The Salina Public Library is hosting a month-long series of events highlighting women in science, with several sessions featuring insights from The Land Institute’s staff and researchers. All events are free and open to the public, with each event requiring individual registration.

Saturday, February 3rd – Kick-Off Program at 10:15am
- Keynote — The Humanity of Science: Laura Van der Pol, Lead Soil Ecologist
- Poetry readings by Aubrey Streit Krug, Director of the Perennial Cultures Lab

Monday, February 5th – A Taste of the Perennial Future from 6:15-7:45pm
- Kernza® Workshop led by Lydia Nicholson, Educational Design Technician

Saturday, February 10th – Greenhouse Tour at The Land Institute from 10am-12pm
- Overview of winter season indoor growing, perennial grain plant breeding goals, and crop protection experiments led by Tiffany Durr, Greenhouse Manager, and Glory Benacka, Greenhouse Supervisor
- If inclement weather is present on the 10th, this tour will take place on Saturday, February 17th.
