Philip’s hometown is Salina, KS, via North Carolina and Alabama. He graduated from a boarding school in Asheville, NC, and is an incoming freshman to the University of Denver, where he hopes to pursue majors in Environmental Studies and International Business with a minor in Sustainability. Last summer, he got his first hands-on experience in agriculture working on a small organic farm in New Cambria, KS. He has been interested in food production and sustainability for years and says there is no better avenue for exploring these areas than at The Land Institute.
