Minneapolis in body, California in spirit, Tammy comes to agriculture through the arts, holding degrees in theater, film, and television production. Before coming to The Land Institute, she worked on the brand experience team at Cascadian Farm Organic, leading the launch of the first nationally released breakfast cereal made with Kernza® perennial grain and raising awareness of climate-beneficial ingredients. She brings a knack for translating ambitious ideas and urgent issues for a wide audience, cultivating relationships, and deepening personal investment in service of a better world.
My most perennial trait: Abundance—I cultivate a pollinator-friendly food forest in my yard and more tomatoes than my community garden can handle.
