Gina Harding

Research Assistant, Crop Protection Genetics

Gina Harding is a Salina, Kansas resident but considers Iowa to be her home ground since she lived in this state for most of her life. After graduating from high school, Gina started attending Barton Community College, where she is currently working towards her Associate’s Degree in Biology. Additionally, she has experience working both independently and within teams, which informs her current work as a Research Assistant at The Land Institute, where she frequently works with other research assistants and staff members.

What’s most inspiring about your specific position at TLI?

I will get the experience to work with plants and learn more about them.

What drew you to work at TLI?

I have an interest in botany, which is the field I would like to enter when I get my degree. I like that I will have the experience to work in the field before having a degree in botany.

What else are you passionate about?

I enjoy fishing, along with reading, in my free time.
