Q&A

What’s most inspiring about your specific position at The Land Institute?

What’s most inspiring is the opportunity to work with an organization so based in sustainability, which aligns well with my undergraduate research and passion for conservation.

What drew you to work at The Land Institute?

When first researching The Land Institute, I remember being excited about the new term “ecological intensification.” I was excited to work with an organization with a mission so focused on sustainability and to conduct fieldwork, as much of my prior experience was based in quantitative work in the lab.

What else are you passionate about outside of work?

I am passionate about music! I have been playing instruments for the past twelve years, and I can play the flute, piccolo, alto saxophone, trombone, trumpet, and bass guitar.

What were you like at age 10?

At age ten, I was preparing for my future as a pirate.
