Intermediate wheatgrass as a dual use crop for grain and grazing

As a young Kansan inspired by The Land Institute, Jeanne Firth spent the next 20 years working towards a just and fair food system in New Orleans, London, and Los Angeles. Trained as a human geographer, she writes about food systems as a vehicle for social and environmental change. At The Land Institute, Jeanne supports the executive leadership team in making perennial dreams a reality, one giant to-do list at a time.
My most perennial trait is Composting – I’m comfortable with a little mess, believe most things can be transformed into something useful, and am happiest when I’m covered in dirt.
