Luke is from Gypsum, Kansas and this spring he completed his first year of college at Pacific Lutheran University where he intends to major in Biology and minor in art.
What work experiences on your resume are most relevant to your position at TLI? How so?
I have been a summer worker for the Land Institute since my sophomore year in high school so it’s about the only job I know!
What’s most inspiring about your specific position at TLI?
It’s exciting to see other teens who are willing to do brutally hot and exhausting work because they care about sustainable agriculture.
What drew you to work at TLI?
My dad is David Van Tassel so I have been surrounded by TLI my entire life.
What has been your proudest moment at TLI?
I single-handedly pulled a 6+ foot stock of pigweed.
