Sam joins The Land Institute as a Salina, Kansas resident, which he considers his home ground. Sam is currently pursuing a degree in electrical engineering at the University of Kansas in Lawrence, KS. He grew up on a farm and helped out, knowledge that will contribute to his work with The Land Institute on perennial grain research efforts.
