“Soil is more important than oil: inside the perennial grain revolution” – Read the new feature article in The Guardian



Appalachian State University is hosting the 2nd High Country Grains Gathering this weekend in Boone, NC, to celebrate and strengthen the regional grain chain. This in-person event brings together grain enthusiasts, farmers, home cooks, bakers and discerning eaters for a day of learning, sharing, and tasting. Activities include a Cornbread Competition, Sourdough Learning Table, Seed Share, and an oportunity to taste Kernza perennial grain, along with buckwheat pancakes and freshly made tortillas.
