Food as Medicine Symposium: Insights into Soil Health - The Land Institute

Aubrey Streit Krug, Director of The Land Institute’s Perennial Cultures Lab, will speak on a panel at day 2 of the 6th Annual Food as Medicine Symposium at the Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus in New York on October 16, 2026. This symposium looks at the latest insights and best practices in the “Food as Medicine and Lifestyle” medicine spaces across a range of topics from human and community health to nutrition, environmental sustainability, agriculture, soil health, and more.

Aubrey will speak on a panel titled “From Soil to System: Agriculture, Soil Sustainability, and the Future of Human Health,” which will discuss the role that soil health and regenerative agriculture play in the nutritional density of our food supply and the subsequent human health outcomes that relate.

Interested attendees must register in advance for either one of the two symposium days or both. The symposium takes place at the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences at 955 Main St, Buffalo, NY 14203.
