Join us for Community Days at Marty Bender Nature Area in Salina, Kansas! The final event of the spring schedule for this new series takes place on June 20, 2026, from 8 – 10 am at the Marty Bender Nature Area located at 3028 S Holmes Rd, Salina, KS 67401.
This event will be a celebration of women in science and nature, where women of The Land Institute will talk about their work in perennial agriculture. Afterward, our special guests, Women Hiking Kansas and Beyond, will lead the community on a hike of the 3-mile loop trail.

This event is designed for women and is suitable for those approximately 12 years of age and older. Infants in back or chest carriers are also allowed. Note that strollers are not allowed on the trail. A restroom will also be available throughout the event.
Please RSVP so that we have a good estimate of total attendance. This will also allow us to communicate with you via email on the day before the event with instructions and final details. Note that this event is subject to the weather, with a rainout date set for July 18th, 2026.
