Missoula County Ecology & Extension is hosting a Living Roots book launch and perennial food celebration with co-editors and contributors Aubrey Streit Krug, Liz Carlisle, and Mariah Gladstone. Following a moderated conversation discussing the new book, attendees will get to taste perennial appetizers prepared by Mariah Gladstone, who contributed to the book with the section “Brilliant Flames.”
Living Roots: The Promise of Perennial Foods incorporates perspectives from experts across numerous backgrounds and lived experiences to examine the promise of perennial foods such as perennial grains, indigenous food forests, fruit trees, nuts, berries, and more for sustaining communities and protecting the health of our shared planet.
The event is open to the public and requires advance registration for a small ticket fee. Attendees can purchase copies of the book at the event.
