The Midwest Kernza® Farm to Mill Field Day hosted by Wisconsin’s Michael Fields Agricultural Institute, Rooster Milling, and the University of Minnesota’s Forever Green Initiative takes place on August 21 from 11 am – 4 pm Central Time. The field day will cover best management practices for harvesting Kernza, a tour of Rooster Milling’s facilities, space for networking and knowledge sharing among perennial grain growers, and more.
Field day presenters include Evan Craine and Jen Mayer from The Land Institute’s Crop Stewardship team, Nicole Tautges of Michael Fields Agricultural Institute, Matt Leavitt from the Forever Green Initiative, Andy Rowntree of Rooster Milling, and Kernza farmer Graham Adsit. This event is a great opportunity for members of the Kernza perennial grain community and supply chain to connect with others in this movement.
This event takes place at Rooster Milling at W1684 Honey Creek Rd, East Troy, WI 53120, USA.
