The episode “Wheat in Kansas” from PBS’s America the Bountiful  series includes The Land Institute’s work with Kernza, collecting perspectives from Lee DeHaan, Lead Scientist of the Kernza Domestication Program, Scott Helmkey, a Kansas Kernza grower, and Chuck Magerl (Owner) and Jeff Deman (Head of Brewing) of Free State Brewing in Lawrence, Kansas to learn about the journey of Kernza perennial grain from research station to field to glass.
