Long-Rooted Perennial Crop Research Included in Climate Solutions Guide

U.S. Nature4Climate has launched a Decision-Makers Guide to Natural Climate Solutions Science featuring science and stories from The Land Institute, leveraging our work on “Long Rooted Perennial Crops” like Kernza® perennial grain. The guide is designed to serve as a hub of information to help decision-makers in the public policy, corporate, and non-profit sectors better understand the science supporting a broad array of Natural Climate Solutions strategies, and apply that science to planning, policy-making, and corporate practices.

Earlier this year U.S. Nature4Climate created a  video and hosted a blog article by The Land Institute. The video looked at our work to develop Kernza, as well as efforts by Perennial Pantry, a Minnesota business dedicated to developing Kernza-based products that can be used in kitchens throughout America.

In 2021 this USN4C blog article highlighted a partnership between The Land Institute, Hopworks Brewery, and Patagonia Provisions to incorporate Kernza into beer.

U.S. Nature4Climate is a coalition of ten conservation, environmental, and sustainable business organizations dedicated to ensuring forests, farms, ranches, grasslands and wetlands are an important part of the overall strategy to combat climate change.
