Future Food: Turning Back the Climate Clock

Publication: BBC

The Land Institute and Aubrey Steit Krug, Director of Ecosphere Studies, are featured in a new episode of the BBC’s program Future Food.

The episode “Turning Back the Clock” looks how at modern technology is helping to reduce the impact of climate change on farming and how centuries-old practices can be just as powerful.

The Land Institute segment appears around 9 minutes and 30 seconds into the episode and examines how changing the crops we grow from annual grains to perennial grains could help build soil carbon and carbon reduce emissions.
