Press Release – “Living Roots: The Power of Perennial Foods” – New book available NOW.

Open Book in Minneapolis, Minnesota will host co-editors Liz Carlisle and The Land Institute’s Aubrey Streit Krug for an exploration of their new book Living Roots: The Promise of Perennial Foods. This discussion will also engage several of the book’s contributors and members of the perennial community: Beth Dooley, Reginaldo Haslett-Marroquin, Gwen Nell Westerman, and Colin Cureton.
Living Roots incorporates perspectives from experts across numerous backgrounds and lived experiences to examine the promise of perennial foods such as perennial grains, indigenous food forests, fruit trees, nuts, berries, and more for sustaining communities and protecting the health of our shared planet.
This event is free of charge, but space is limited. Those who register in advance will receive priority admission and seating. Attendees can stick around for a book-signing and light reception featuring perennial food following the conversation. Books will also be available for purchase.
Thank you to our partners from the Forever Green Initiative at the University of Minnesota for helping lead this book launch.
