“The Power of Perennial Agriculture” – Read the new article in Civil Eats featuring the new Living Roots book



Red Fern Booksellers in Salina, Kansas is hosting Aubrey Streit Krug, Director of the Perennial Cultures Lab at The Land Institute, for the launch of the Living Roots book, which she co-edited with fellow author Liz Carlisle. Aubrey will lead and moderate a conversation about the book’s themes alongside scientists from The Land Institute and members of our community.
Living Roots: The Promise of Perennial Foods incorporates perspectives from experts across numerous backgrounds and lived experiences to examine the promise of perennial foods such as perennial grains, indigenous food forests, fruit trees, nuts, berries, and more for sustaining communities and protecting the health of our shared planet.
This event is free to attend and open to the public. It will take place at Red Fern Booksellers at 106 South Santa Fe Avenue, Salina, KS 67401. Copies of the book will also be available for purchase.
