This year’s Kansas Book Festival will move from its usual venue at the Kansas Statehouse to Mabee Library at Washburn University.
The festival is scheduled for 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 18 and will feature free presentations by 40 authors, outdoor performances, a book-art exhibit, food vendors, and exhibitor tents with publishers from around Kansas.
Wes Jackson will speak at 3pm in the Union Ballroom, Mabee Library at Washburn University, about his new book, Hogs Are Up: Stories of the Land, with Digressions.
The 2021 Kansas Notable Books will be honored during the festival and awarded by Ted Daughety, the first gentleman of Kansas.
