Press Release – “Living Roots: The Power of Perennial Foods” – New book available NOW.



Montana State University Extension is hosting a Winter Ag Series this Tuesday, January 20th, which will contain a discussion on Kernza® as an emerging dual-purpose crop for grain and forage. This session will be led by Dr. Eeusha Nafi, Assistant Professor in Agronomy Research and Extension at the Southern Agriculture Research Center, who will share his own research and experience working with perennial crops. This will include crop production and harvesting, as well as fertility requirements and pest management.
Dr. Nafi’s session will take place from 11 am – 12 pm Mountain Time on 1/20/2026. Please call the MSU Extension Powder River County Office at 406-436-2424 to register if you plan to attend the workshops. The Tuesday workshop will be held at the Broadus Community Center at 223 S. Wilbur Ave.
