The 2017 Association for the Study of Literature & Environment (ASLE) conference will include a panel on “Ecosphere Studies: Recovering Our Membership in ‘Earth Alive!'” Presenters include Aubrey Streit Krug, postdoctoral fellow with The Land Institute; John Hausdoerffer, Western State Colorado University; John Linstrom, New York University; and Leah Bayens, The Berry Center.
ASLE seeks to inspire and promote intellectual work in the environmental humanities and arts. Their vision is an inclusive community whose members are committed to environmental research, education, literature, art and service, environmental justice, and ecological sustainability. Streit Krug serves as the senior graduate student liaison for ASLE, and during the conference she will also participate in a roundtable on mentoring relationships.
