North Dakota State University (NDSU) is hosting a field day on September 16, 2025, to discuss the benefits of cover crops, perennial crops like Kernza®, sainfoin, and alfalfa, and intercropping grains with perennial legumes to support sustainable farming operations. The field day will be led by NDSU professor Marisol Berti and NDSU extension agronomist Claire Keene and is an opportunity to learn from experts about how perennial crops can increase farm resilience and productivity. This field day will offer both morning and afternoon tours of the campus research plots.
